![]() ![]() They really do spend a tremendous amount of time and effort to ensure every location is spotless. Also, I have never been to a resort that was so spotless. The groundskeepers are constantly working on the flowers and foliage and the colors are spectacular. The plant life, the modern fixtures, and the scenic views from almost every corner really remind you that you are in paradise. It only takes three or four minutes to get to any place on the resort by foot and all of it is gorgeous. My father-in-law has mobility issues, but everything was accessible via ramps for the most part. It’s not a huge resort, so it’s pretty easy to move around, even for those who struggle to do so. The grand lobby entrance makes a definite impression (and it also duals as sort of a nightclub in the evenings with a great bar – ask for Enrique! – and usually has live entertainment. ![]() The resort is top-notch and stunningly beautiful. Or better yet, just go to a regular liquor store there's one beside the Walmart in Cancun. Don't take a taxi from the hotel, it's $45 each way.Īlso, one last precaution I give you at my own expense: if you're buying something expensive at the market ie: extra anejo tequila, please ensure you watch it wrapped before handing over the money so you don't get fooled into taking home a repasado instead. Go off resort to bargain with taxis to go into Playa or Cancun, but also: Uber is available! I wish I knew when I went, it would have saved us so much money. Some recommendations: Don't discount the buffet, the stations where you cook fresh short ribs/steaks/shrimp is truly one of the best! And the omelette station in the morning! Bring USD for tipping but pesos for spending in the market. I will remark that I have never seen a resort quite so busy there was 2-3 weddings EACH day! One day, there was 4! However, plenty of space for all, very well planned out spaces and you're never crowded or neglected. I had the pleasure of swimming in the cool ocean water when the sun got to be too much. The sand is cool (this time of year?) to the touch and feels like walking on clouds it's so fine and soft. This resort is located behind the Mayan Reef Barrier so only the most gentle waves crash on this perfect white sand beach. Unreal people in the absolute best way possible.Ģ. I want to name particularly Santiago our lovely beach server on the Preferred Club side and Carmen our fantastic bartender who sang to me when I walked past. I've stayed at Dreams before and it's consistently just friendly and accommodating staff. INCREDIBLE! I really can't rave enough, from the moment your airport ride brings you to the entrance to the moment you enter your ride to (sadly) go back to the airport. Some incredible things about this resort:ġ. We slept on one and used one for luggage lol, I'm sure the maid was glad she didn't have to make/clean both. Our room was on the quieter side of the resort facing the ocean (requested) but was two doubles instead of the king/queen we requested. Stayed for 10 days at the end of February 2020 and had a fantastic and very relaxing time.
